Free Creator Use
MOV Music may be used free of charge in original audiovisual content such as YouTube videos, Shorts, Twitch streams, TikToks, Instagram videos, gaming videos, documentaries, short films, edits and similar creator content, published on platforms including YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and similar creator platforms.
Monetization is allowed, including platform advertising, sponsorships, memberships, donations and affiliate revenue.
Normal client work and organic business or social-media content are also permitted.
Attribution
For original audiovisual creator content, credit to MOV Music is required wherever reasonably possible. Music-focused uploads must credit MOV Music.

Editing
Allowed in creator content
- Trimming or cutting sections
- Looping inside audiovisual content
- Fades and volume adjustments
- Ducking under speech
- Minor technical synchronization edits
Allowed non-commercially
- Remixes and derivative songs
- Lyric videos and visualizers
- Slowed/reverb and nightcore versions
- Extended versions and music-only loops
- Other music-focused uploads
These music-focused uploads are subject to the conditions below.
Music-focused Uploads
Remixes, lyric videos, visualizers, slowed/reverb versions, extended or looped music uploads, compilations, standalone music re-uploads and other uploads where the music itself is the primary content are allowed only for non-commercial use.
The uploader must credit MOV Music and may not monetize, sell, sublicense or commercially distribute these versions. MOV Music reserves the right to claim and monetize music-focused uploads.
Permission for music-focused uploads does not permit third-party music distribution, download mirrors or stock-music redistribution.
Using MOV as soundtrack or background music inside original audiovisual creator content remains allowed, including normal creator monetization, under the Creator License.
Third-party Music Distribution
Third parties may not distribute MOV tracks, remixes or other derivatives through Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, other streaming services, music distributors or stock-music services.
Users may not claim ownership or authorship, sublicense MOV Music, or sell it as their own music.
Content ID and Automated Rights Management
Users may not register MOV Music, remixes, derivatives or videos containing MOV Music with YouTube Content ID, Meta Rights Manager, TikTok rights-management systems or similar automated rights-management databases.
MOV Music reserves the right to claim and monetize music-focused uploads. This does not change the permission to monetize compliant original audiovisual creator content.
Commercial Creator Use
Free creator use includes monetized YouTube content, monetized short-form content, sponsored creator videos, affiliate content, Twitch monetization, ordinary freelance or client videos, and organic company social-media content.
Separate permission or licensing is required for:
- Standalone paid advertising campaigns
- Television broadcasts and cinema advertising
- Commercially distributed feature films
- Major streaming-service productions
- Video games and apps/software
- Large-scale commercial synchronization
License Changes
A use validly published under an earlier version remains governed by the license version that applied when it was published.
Future versions will have a version number and effective date. Archived versions will remain available at permanent URLs.
